About the Company

Advantia is a £50m not-for-profit cooperative known for its innovative approach within the office product sector. It represents leading office dealers across the UK. Run by its members for the members, its stockless business model has delivered major overhead and trading savings. Its diversification strategy has ensured members’ products can penetrate new and emerging markets.

Comgem has been working with Advantia since 2015. In fact, Advantia so impressed with our Gemsuite B2B platform they wanted to buy part of our company.

The Requirements

Advantia required a solution that would allow their members to benefit from a cutting edge ecommerce platform. The solution also needed to allow Advantia to centrally manage data on behalf of its members.

Comgem's Solution

Our Gemsuite B2B platform gives Advantia central control over data. However, it allows its dealer members to have their own branded websites that work across multiple channels, including mobile commerce and B2C commerce. Flexible pricing allows dealers to manage their own prices, catalogues and customers.

Gemsuite integrates with the dealers’ existing back office systems. These include ECI Horizon and Prima. The platform can automatically send orders to distributors and allows dealers to sell products from other suppliers in a vertical market.

We were able to give Advantia responsive websites that perform on multiple devices and deliver an excellent user experience. The features provided within the solution are saving dealers hours of time every month and increasing visibility of their products.
